Heartland Alliance LTD/GTE (HALG), in collaboration with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), is recruiting Ward Level Consultants for a nationwide data collection exercise. This short-term consultancy supports a national health planning initiative aimed at improving access to primary healthcare services across Nigeria.

Both organisations are partnering on this project to improve health data quality and healthcare access, especially in underserved communities.

This project involves nationwide enumeration and data collection to support:

Position Details

Position Title: Ward Level Consultant (Data Collection Officer)

Roles and Responsibilities
Selected consultants will be required to:

Conduct accurate data collection within assigned wards
-
Follow approved data collection guidelines and protocols
-
Engage community members, leaders, and health workers respectfully
-
Ensure completeness and accuracy of all collected data
-
Use assigned data collection tools correctly
-
Submit reports promptly to supervisors
-
Maintain confidentiality of all information collected
-
Participate in required training and orientation sessions
Qualifications and Requirements
Educational Qualification
Applicants must possess at least one of the following:

Ordinary National Diploma (OND)
-
National Certificate in Education (NCE)
-
Higher National Diploma (HND)
-
Bachelor’s Degree
Relevant fields include Public Health, Social Sciences, Statistics, Demography, Community Development, or related disciplines.
Experience and Skills
-
Previous experience in data collection, surveys, or enumeration is an advantage
-
Good communication and interpersonal skills
-
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
-
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-
Basic knowledge of mobile data tools such as KoboToolbox is an added advantage
Local Knowledge Requirement

Applicants must live in, or be very familiar with, the ward they are applying to serve
